TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY

SLC Agrícola S.A., a privately held company, registered under CNPJ/MF No. 89.096.457/0001-55, headquartered at Rua Bernardo Pires, No. 128, in the city of Porto Alegre, State of Rio Grande do Sul, is committed to the security and privacy of data and respects every natural person’s rights to freedom, intimacy, and privacy. We present here the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (“Policy”), aiming to clarify the conditions for the processing of personal data by SLC Agrícola, so that data subjects can easily understand the terms of use of our Websites, as defined in this Policy.

By accessing the website, you accept and agree to the provisions of this Policy. Therefore, you should read and understand the terms described herein to learn how SLC Agrícola safeguards your privacy. If you do not agree, you may choose not to use SLC Agrícola’s services and/or website.

DEFINITIONS

So that you and anyone who has access to this Policy can understand the provisions set forth herein, please keep in mind the following definitions, in accordance with the provisions of Federal Law No. 13,709/2018 (General Data Protection Law – LGPD). Whether the terms appear in uppercase or lowercase letters, they shall have the following meanings:

  • General Data Protection Law (LGPD): Law No. 13,709 of August 14, 2018, which governs the processing of personal data, including in digital media, by a natural person or by a public or private legal entity, with the purpose of protecting the fundamental rights of freedom and privacy and the free development of the personality of the natural person.
  • Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, whether directly or indirectly.
  • Sensitive Personal Data: Refers to data that reveals personal information about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, political opinions, trade union membership, or affiliation with a religious, philosophical, or political organization, as well as data concerning health, sexual life, genetics, or biometrics.
  • Data Protection Officer (DPO): The person appointed by SLC Agrícola to be responsible for ensuring compliance with data subjects’ rights and clarifying any questions regarding the processing of their Personal Data.
  • Data Subject: Any identified or identifiable natural person to whom the processed Personal Data refers — for example, our clients and consumers.
  • Processing: The handling, operation, or use of Personal Data under our responsibility, including collection, production, reception, classification, use, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, storage, archiving, deletion, evaluation or control of information, modification, communication, transfer, dissemination, or extraction, among others.
  • Internet Protocol Address (IP Address): The code assigned to a device on a network to allow its identification, defined according to specific parameters. This code is linked to the computer, smartphone, or other device of the Data Subject, for example
  • Websites and/or Applications: Institutional websites (slcagricola.com.br, www.slc.com.br, www.slcsementes.com.br, including the Investor Relations website and client and supplier portal sites accessed through SLC Agrícola’s website) and applications or systems of SLC Agrícola through which Users access the services and content provided by the company.
  • Terminals: Desktops, notebooks, netbooks, smartphones, tablets, palm tops, and any other devices that connect to the Internet.
  • Users: All natural persons who use the Websites and/or Applications.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?

When you fill out registration forms on our website, we collect your personal identification information, such as name, email address, phone numbers, and address, as well as property-related data such as municipality, state, latitude, and longitude, in cases where you contact us regarding land leasing.

Our website also collects technical access data, such as date and time, IP address, location data (even if approximate), and information about your browsing behavior through cookies. You may, at any time, enable settings in your browser to notify you when cookies are being used or to prevent them from being activated. Your mobile device or browser also provides options to remove them at any time.

SLC Agrícola’s websites and/or applications may contain links to third-party website(s). The existence of these links does not constitute an endorsement or sponsorship of such third-party website(s), which are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies and are not the responsibility of SLC Agrícola. It is recommended that you also read those terms and policies.

WHAT COOKIES DO WE USE?

Cookies are small text files through which certain information is automatically collected and stored. Our website uses tools to distinguish you from other users of our site. This helps us provide you with a better browsing experience and allows us to improve our website.

During your navigation on the website and/or application, four (4) types of cookies may be used:

HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

On all our institutional websites, we have implemented encryption (secure connection) which guarantees the security of the information entered in the registration forms. Your data is stored on our Site and/or Application located in Brazil, in our own Data Center.

We adopt technical and administrative measures capable of protecting personal data from unauthorized access or situations of destruction, loss, alteration, communication, or diffusion of such data. We are committed to the security of the personal data provided to us, which is why we adopt good information security practices transformed into strict operating standards, seeking to ensure that all collected personal information and data are not subject to destruction, loss, alteration, communication, or diffusion.

The Users’ Information is processed by SLC Agrícola for the following purposes:

  • To allow you to access and use the website; 
  • To provide technical support; 
  • To guarantee the security of our services and our website; 
  • To ensure that the website is functioning correctly and to monitor and investigate any technical problems; 
  • To provide information, products, and services that you have requested from us; 
  • To carry out research, where the information will be anonymized, to improve our products and services; 
  • To recognize you when you return to our website; 
  • To improve your user experience; 
  • To develop business and marketing purposes, informing you about products and services that may be of interest to you, if you have consented or, alternatively, if it is in our legitimate interest;
  • To analyze the performance of the Site and/or Application, measure the Site and/or Application’s audience, verify Users’ browsing habits on the Site and/or Application, the way they arrived at the Site and/or Application’s page (for example, through links from other websites, search engines, or directly by the address), and to evaluate statistics related to the number of accesses and use of the Site and/or Application, its features, and functionalities.

WHO MIGHT WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH?

SLC Agrícola may share your personal data with:

  • Partner companies and suppliers, in the development of our activities, commercialization of products, and provision of services; 
  • Advertising companies, to select and produce advertisements consistent with your profile, as authorized; 
  • Third-party companies for the development of internal processes, website maintenance, eventually for collection agencies, auditors, and law firms;
  • Public and governmental authorities to comply with court orders or requests from administrative authorities that have legal competence to do so;
  • Third parties, when we believe it is necessary to do so to comply with a legal obligation under applicable law, or to respond to a valid legal process. We also share your personal data when, in good faith, we believe it is necessary to do so for the purposes of our own legitimate interest.

It is important for you to know that we make every effort to ensure that your personal data does not need to be shared beyond strict necessity, and we commit to updating this Policy whenever we notice that we need to include or exclude any sharing activity.

Personal data that is eventually shared with a third party will only occur to achieve a legitimate purpose among those mentioned above.

The User is aware that their browsing records on the Site and/or Application may be provided by SLC Agrícola to its respective partners or contractors to provide any service related to the Site and/or Application, without individual identification of the User that allows their identification and for the purposes provided for in the section “How do we handle your personal data”.

HOW LONG WILL THE PERSONAL DATA BE PROCESSED?

With the same purpose of transparently handling and protecting your Personal Data, we keep it with us only as long as necessary to achieve a specific business purpose, to comply with legal or regulatory requirements during the legal statute of limitations for possible contractual or legal liabilities, or until a request to revoke consent for processing is made, as applicable.

SECURITY

SLC Agrícola adopts technical, physical, and administrative security measures developed to provide protection for personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and modification. Security measures include, but are not limited to, firewalls, encryption, physical and logical access controls, and information access authorization controls. SLC Agrícola is responsible for protecting its systems and services, and you are responsible for protecting and maintaining the privacy of your registration information, in addition to checking whether your personal data maintained by SLC Agrícola is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE OVER YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We process your personal data transparently, so you may contact us to exercise your rights whenever you wish.

Your main rights include:

  • To confirm the existence of processing of your data by SLC Agrícola;
  • To know which data are processed;
  • To request the alteration or correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
  • To request the anonymization, blocking, or deletion of your data;
  • To request information about the sharing of your data;
  • To restrict, as far as possible, the use of your data, including regarding the receipt of advertising campaigns and the use of cookies by SLC Agrícola;
  • To request the portability of your data to another service or product provider, through an express request, in accordance with the regulation of the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), observing commercial and industrial secrets
  • To revoke the consent given to SLC Agrícola for the processing of your data;
  • To request clarification about the possibility of not providing consent and about the consequences of the refusal;
  • To request a copy of your data in a legal and adequate format and to transmit it for use in other services; To request information about the public and private entities with which the controller has shared data.

These rights are set out in Article 18 of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Some of these rights still need to be detailed and regulated by the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) so that they can be adequately fulfilled.

The exercise of any of these rights does not affect the legality of any personal data processing carried out before the exercise of such right.

When a request is made for the exercise of any of the rights mentioned above, SLC Agrícola will use your personal data to process the request and provide you with a response.

 

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

This Policy may be updated at any time, due to the needs of SLC Agrícola and/or changes in the legal basis governing the subject.

 

If any change requires your consent, we will make a request for you to provide this new consent. We recommend periodically visiting this page so that you are aware of the updated version of this document.

 

SLC Agrícola may establish specific privacy policies applicable to certain websites and/or applications, situations, or specific personal data subjects, which may supplement and/or prevail over this Privacy Policy.

Any controversy arising from the terms set out in this External Privacy Policy will be resolved in accordance with the General Data Protection Law, but not limited to it, and in accordance with Brazilian legislation.
