SLC Agrícola, a leading Brazilian producer of grains and fibers, reported net income of R$447.2 million for the second quarter of 2021, representing growth of 128.1% on the same quarter last year.
The company reported its results to the market on Thursday (12). Net revenue in the quarter was R$1.04 billion, representing growth on the prior-year period of 85.5%. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) came to R$505.2 million (+248.8%), with margin of 48.4%.
The price appreciation in the commodities sold and the margins obtained in negotiations for cotton and soybean were the main drivers of SLC’s results in the period.
